Jesus Navarro

Personal Trainer/Group Fitness Instructor

My goal is to make health and fitness a habitual part of everyone’s life. My approach involves setting higher standards personally tailored to each client with their health and safety in the forefront. Whether it is competitive athletes, or individuals just looking to improve their lifestyles, I feel there is a way I can help them, and educate them on how they can help themselves.

My interest in how the body responds to exercise led me to study exercise physiology in school and has driven me ever since. I have always liked to work in a service environment to help people in any way I can. All of those factors led me to want to teach and motivate people looking for improved athletic performance and those looking to improve their normal activities of daily living.

My personal interests include spending quality time with my wife and son, distance running, playing baseball, basketball, football and golf, as well as enjoying all types of music. I’ve also become involved with coaching youth baseball and basketball for my son’s teams.

Over the years, I have taken an interest in helping people diagnosed with different forms of cancer. While participating with Team in Training for the last 8 years, and also fundraising for the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society, I have also studied quite a bit about blood cancers as well as other forms of cancer. Because of that, I have earned a certificate as a Cancer Exercise Specialist from the Cancer Exercise Training Institute. While trying to find cures and new treatments, I believe those inflicted with cancer should have the opportunity to attain their best physical and psychological state through the benefit of a personalized and specialized exercise plan.
